Land here just as an investment is wise, even if you later decide you want to live somewhere else or buy another piece of land. Land prices are still appreciating here, unlike the States.

You will find that some of the prices here in Costa Rica are higher than those in the States. Something I say a lot is that if you plug it into the wall, it will cost more. Electricity in Costa Rica is more expensive than in the States per KW per hour, but our electricity bill here in Grecia is way under half what we used to pay in Dallas because we enjoy temperate daytime and nighttime temperatures and do not need air conditioning or heating.
